A Meditation into the Mystery of Life
The Nameless One
When we try to give God a name it becomes an intellectual concept of the mind and in this we miss the real substance that God gives to our lives. All the previous concepts that we have discussed simply help us to Identify God's Nature, which is Love rather than Law. Elohim or El-Eleyon represent Love, Grace and Truth, while Yahweh gives an impression of stern Law. Jesus never called God by a particular name. He called Him Our Father, the initiator of all life.
God is a word - it cannot give us life.
Trying to doctrinize God by giving the Nameless One a name brings more and more confusion. Only the innocent re-cognition, as of a lamb recognizing its mother by smell, will allow us to know intuitively that God is our Father/ Mother. We do not have to know it intellectually; we have to feel it. The old Scotsman says, “It’s better felt than telt” and I agree with him. The Letter kills. It is the Spirit that gives life. We must trust like little children because this is the only way that we will benefit from God's Presence which is always here and now; closer then breathing; nearer than hands or feet. I Hope that you will hear this with the heart.
God is not separated from His Creation.
There is nothing that God needs, wants or desires. The concept of lack would indicate that God lacks something but in fact God is everything there is. All else is Illusion; and yet, even the Illusion can declare the all in all of God, if your eye be single. Through meditation on the Living Word of God we come into contact with the infinite Mind of God; the same Mind that was functioning in Christ Jesus who thought it not robbery to be equal with God but made Himself, as a human, of no reputation. When we come into contact with the spiritual reality of God's presence, His thoughts begin to permeate our soul and instead of being under the curse of the moral mind, which brings fear, guilt, disease and finally death, infinite good begins to flow. It is wonderful!
The state of meditation is a state of grace.
By grace are we saved – ( it is not of ourselves.) Eph.2.
It is not our goals (human desires) that we focus on when we meditate. It is rather in a state of deep silence and in this state the Creative Spirit or Life Principle begins to give us deep impressions. These visions, if you like to call them that, come to us from the 4th Dimension - beyond time and space. In silent listening they are generated from the invisible Presence from which all Grace flows to us. From deep within, in quietness, peace and assurance, in knowing that we are accepted in the beloved through the Blood of the Cross, come ideas, inventions, wisdom and insight, that can never be understood by the natural intellectual mind. They are the gifts of God to His beloved. However, the person who is very active in his or her mind, by still having desires, will first have to exercise the art of inner silence by casting down these thoughts for human fulfillment, for without this silence you cannot enter the Kingdom of God. As you progress in this prayer of meditation you will become aware of a Presence or perhaps a still small voice, or maybe just an impression bringing a sense of peace and belonging. Then you are on your way to harmony of being.
In the contemplative art of meditation there is no need to ask God for anything or to speak or utter your opinions or needs to God, for He already knows your needs before you ask Him. Just be still and realize that in God's presence there is fullness of joy, life and pleasure for evermore. When you have received the free gift of righteousness and you know you are cleansed by the blood of the Lamb from past feelings of guilt or fear, you can begin to behold the creation, the universe and all the intricate forms of life, as God intended you should.
You will remember that your heavenly Father feeds, clothes, upholds and directs all living things, including you - spirit, soul and body. “The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof, and all that dwell therein.” He has given this fullness to His Spiritual Offspring – which you are. It is wonderful! Did you know that you are an emanation of God's glory, even though at this moment you might be experiencing sickness, sin, fear, poverty, pain and family discord. In silent contemplation remember the scripture: “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee.” Say to yourself ‘I will stop leaning to my own understanding and will acknowledge only Your presence, Your omnipotence and Your omniscience’. I realize that You will direct my path in light (understanding) and love and will direct to me a superabundance of all the things of which I have need. Jesus said; " I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10. Can you accept that Jesus is telling the truth? It is God's will to lavish His abundance on you here and now. It comes to you by recognizing the Living Voice of God speaking in you. Do you hear those of you who read this page?
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock” Rev.3:20.
Waiting to be recognized. If you hear the voice of the risen Jesus you will experience life, love, peace and assurance. Only listen to Him and do not follow strangers. The Living Word will open your understanding and immediately your life will become meaningful and harmonious. All this of course comes through the principle of meditation. Remember, the human mind is noisy, so we must learn how to be still and listen. I personally benefit greatly by disciplining myself to do this when I first wake up. I say: “Father you are closer to me than breathing, nearer to me than hands and feet. You go before me this day to straighten out the crooked path, for the path of the just is like a shining light that shines more and more until that perfect day. Prov. 4:18-27
For to be carnally minded is death.
The insensitive moral mind does not know why things go wrong. Sickness, discord and lack are constantly with those who reason with the carnal mind and have no ear to hear what the Spirit is saying and no time to pray and wait on God. Jesus called his disciples a perverse generation for they could not heal the man that suffered with epileptic fits. He said: “How long do I have to be with you?”. Matt.17. Only through fasting and prayer (abstaining from human reasoning) will we become instrumental in healing and speaking of the true spiritual life to the needy and sick. Contemplating God and the nature of God's ways and thoughts will reveal an infinite spiritual law governing the affairs of man, and filling us with peace and a sense of belonging. This eliminates all concern about this world and it's problems. “For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.” Rom 8:1-2. Don't you think it is sinful to pray for the sun to come up, or for rain to fall on your garden, or for God to put steak on your plate, or to ask Him to maintain the Southern Cross? Remember, God's universe is already perfect and functioning in accordance to His perfect plan. He supplies all life with whatever it needs. All we have to do is be still and know intuitively that this is true, and then we will have no fear for tomorrow. Spiritual Law always functions now, never tomorrow, so you must feel it to be true and real now. Your awareness of this perfection of the now Realm of God is the climax of your meditation and ensures that the unfolding of your daily life will be full of satisfaction, regardless of the appearance realm. I can highly recommend this prayer of meditation. I believe it is the best way to God realization, once you know that God has already reconciled all creation, and nothing has to reconciled, it is finished.
Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 2 Cor 5:18 ,19.
In Christ Jesus all fear of death and lack disappears, for in the Way of Righteousness there is life and no death at all. Prov.12:28. Jesus discovered that this kingdom of God is a 4 dimensional kingdom; He knew that the Father’s Kingdom was not subjected to time or space. It is eternal and we are heirs to it by faith. You can enter by going within yourself and discovering your true heritage and identity.
There is a way and Jesus is that Way.
Jesus said: “I AM the Way” meaning I AM is God. He also said “before Abraham was, I AM.” Jesus is the name given to all generations and is a memorial for all of us. Lord Jesus Christ (I AM) is your spiritual identity. He is the true blue You. Jesus said "If you do not believe I AM, you will die in your sin". John 8:23,24. The universe of the Spirit of Christ Jesus is I AM. It is an eternal activity of God's presence and is invisible and immortal. This I AM functions as your individual person. It is not subject to time or space. Therefore we should never judge ourselves by what we see, hear, smell or taste for that is the world of appearances and is not reality. Only the resurrected ascended Lord Jesus Christ in whom we are complete is the reality of eternal Being. The World of Jesus is the great I AM; it is spirit and life. When your meditations becomes more advanced you will be energized with the Resurrection Spirit of Jesus and in the same way that Jesus was energized by this Spirit and arose from the dead, you too will be quickened and find your that your diseases and fear of death disappear. It is wonderful, wonderful!
But let us remember that while we are in the world, every appearance of human existence whether good or bad is but a mental image that has no substance, no law, no cause or effect to sustain itself. When we recognize the nothingness of sin, disease and lack, these limitations of the five senses begin to drop away. These mind formed images of sin, guilt and fear are all products of your former existence as, the so called, genetic man which God never ordained in the first place. Remember you are not a spirit created as a separate self. You are a Spiritual Being, begotten of the Father, full of Grace and Truth. In the Mind which was in Christ Jesus we have recognition of who we are; ONE SPIRIT, ONE NEW MAN. Now we are able to look more deeply into the reality of the I AM Realm to which you are an heir. We are now able to behold the now--ness of being the Self of God - I AM - without father or mother; the eternal Son without a veil. We must see ourselves as we truly are; Spirit, the offspring of God. It is wonderful! This eternal son of God, who you are in Truth, appears as present, past and future. It is your true nature. As a Man or Woman of this New Creation, you are an heir to all the fullness of God. It is wonderful. Can you say amen?
As I am writing this tremendous truth, my whole being is light and in this communion I am one with every spiritual being in the universe, and you are included. It is true and honest. This is the will of God. “That he would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.” Eph 3:16-21.
You are in me and I am in you - Jesus realized this when he meditated and prayed in the garden of Gethsemane – “that they may all be one, I in them and they in me and all in You Father, and You in all,’” that the Universe might be filled with light and life. You are complete in the Godhead. Col.2:9
